ANDREI CODRESCU is a poet, novelist, essayist, screenwriter, editor, and scholar. He is the winner of the prestigious Ovid Prize. He is also the recipient of the Peabody Award for the film Road Scholar, the ACLU Freedom of Speech Award, two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, and was longlisted for the National Book Award. He was a regular commentator on NPR (1983-2016), MacCurdy Distinguished Professor Emeritus (1984-2010), and editor of Exquisite Corpse: a Journal of Books & Ideas (1983-2016) (corpse.org). He has taught writing and literature at Johns Hopkins University and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. After living in Sibiu, New Orleans, and Baltimore, he now lives in Brooklyn.

CATHERINE TAFUR is a Peruvian born artist based in New York City. Tafur spent their childhood in Peru in a bicultural home with a Japanese mother and Peruvian father before relocating to the US. The content of their work is informed by the experience of their youth as a queer, multiracial immigrant in American suburbia. Their drawings and paintings explore themes of political violence, queer sexuality, and marginalized identities. Their subjects are political and personal, feminist and confrontational. Since studying at the Cooper Union School of Art on a full scholarship, they have had numerous group and solo exhibitions.
